01) truce (Adj) –

Meaning: A period of time in which no fighting takes place due to an agreement

between the opposed parties; A cancellation or postponement of a punishment

Antonyms: continuation, disagreement, fight

Usage: Rajasthan Congress factions inching towards a truce.

 

02) embellished    (noun) –

Meaning: To make more beautiful or attractive by adorning or decorating; Add more

detail concerning what has already been said

Antonyms: blemish, deface, disfigure, abridge, compress, condense

Meaning: The process of pacifying;

Synonyms: appeasement, conciliation, mollification, reconciliation

Antonyms: incitement, provocation, motivation

04) peddled (verb) –

Meaning: to sell things, especially door to door or in insignificant quantities

05) bloated (verb) –

Meaning: Of exaggerated importance or value; Having an especially high opinion of

oneself, usually with contempt for others; Showing contemptuous indifference

Meaning: Without hope of recovery; No longer present or existing; to disprove or

refute

Synonyms: finished, ruined, doomed, beaten, confuted, disproved, disproven

Antonyms: accomplished, fresh, safe, saved, successful

Usage: Religion is not only relegated  to  an  inferior  position  but has also been

effectively vanquished.

 

08) eeced (verb) –

Meaning: To have exploited someone for one’s personal gain; to loot or plunder by

force

Synonyms: exploited, manipulated, abused, sacked, despoiled, looted

Antonyms: flourishing, intact, mended, preserved
