Answers :

Directions (1-5):

Here we have statements,

A certain number of persons were sitting in a circular table and all are facing the centre.

A sits 5th to the left of P.

D neither sits adjacent to P nor A.

Q sits adjacent to A and third to the right of C. Here two possible cases are formed i.e., case 1 and case 2.

As many persons sit between P and C is same as between Q and R where Q sits fourth to left of R.

In this statement case 2 is violated because R cannot be placed 4th to the right of Q. Thus, case 1 is only possible.

The person who sits  to the immediate left of C is 2nd to the right of B.

No two persons sit adjacent to each other as in English alphabetical order.

The number of persons sits between S who is adjacent to B and one who sitsimmediate left of A is same as the number of persons between D and R.

Three persons sit between B and E.

Based on the given conditions we have the final arrangement as follows:

1) Answer: C

2) Answer: B

3) Answer: A

4) Answer: E

5) Answer: E

6) Answer: B

The given number is ‘867597645’

Odd digits decreased by 1

Remaining digits increased by 1

The new rearranged number is ‘976486754’

2nd digit from the right end is 5 and 4th digit from the left end is 4.

Required Sum = 5 + 4 = 9

Directions (7-10):

The final table is shown below:

7) Answer: B

8) Answer: D

9) Answer: E
