RBI Grade B Salary And Allowances

Pay Scale:

  • The RBI Grade B salary annually ranges from 12-14 lacs.
  • Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- p.m. on a scale of Rs. 35150-1750 (9)-50900-EB-1750 (2)-54400-2000 (4)-62400 applicable to Officers in Grade B.
  • Also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time.
  • At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 77,208/-(approx.)

Allowances:

Bank’s accommodation, subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, telephone charges, book grant, allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility.

Free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility. Interest-free festival advance, Leave Fare Concession (once in two years for self, spouse, and eligible dependents).

Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for Housing, Vehicle, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal Computer, etc.

Selected candidates will be governed by ‘the defined contribution New Pension Scheme (NPS)’, in addition to the benefit of Gratuity

RBI Grade B 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Post-graduation Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with 55% of marks scored or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized University / Institute
  • If the candidate holding M.Phil. Degree and Doctorate Degree in above-given specifications they will get relaxation in their age limit. Upper age relaxation applicable 2 years and 4 years respectively.

RBI Grade B (DR – DSIM)

  • Post Graduation in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay

Shortlisted candidates from the Phase II examination will be called for the Interview Process. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Interview of RBI Grade B carries 50 marks. The candidate may opt for an interview either in Hindi or English. RBI Grade B Mains Exam Analysis 2019

Paper 1 – Economic and Social Issues

This paper was divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.

  • Part A consisted of questions based on passages from which the context of the passage was to be understood to give the answers.
  • Part B consisted of questions that were more factual based and data-oriented.
  • Part A of the paper-I had 35 questions of 2 marks each.
  • Part B had 30 questions of 1 mark each.

Paper 2 – Finance and Management

Paper 2 was also on the same pattern with the paper divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.

  • Part A consisted of questions from Finance. It contained 35 questions of 2 marks each.
  • Questions from Finance were only factual based and no numerical questions were asked.
  • Part B consisted of questions from Management. It had a total of 30 questions of 1 mark each.

Paper 3 – English

  • It is a descriptive based paper.
  • Only 3 questions were asked from this section.
  • The first question is of essay of 40 marks and the word limit was 300 words.
