Hi Moli:) either or holds true in both the cases(“some N some not” and “all N some not”).
but there are a few rules governing the use of Either/Or, which are :-
1.Subject and Predicate should be same in both the conclusions.
2.No relation between Subject and Predicate.
3.Both the conclusions should be individually wrong.
4.One conclusion Positive while the other one negative.
If the above mentioned conditions exist in any problem of syllogism and that too at the same time then mark blindly the option that says “Either/Or”.
