IBPS Clerk –  Eligibility Criteria

  1. Nationality:
  • Aspirants must be a citizen of India.
  • He/She must be a subject of Nepal, or
  • He/She must be a subject to Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India to settle permanently.
  • An Indian Originated person who has migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Vietnam, Zaire, and other east African countries whom the government of India has issued the certificate of eligibility.
  1. Age-based Eligibility: 
  • An aspirant must be between 20-28 years as on 1st September 2020

3. Educational qualification:

  • A Graduate from a reputed university on or before 10th October 2020.

Tips for Quantitative Aptitude: 

  • You should learn all the mathematical formulas thoroughly to improve your speed, as many numerical problems are to be completed in a limited time.
  • Solve all the previous year question papers to get an idea about question types and repeated questions.
  • Learn the 1 to 20 tables thoroughly to reduce calculation time. This will help you a lot during the Main examination.
  • Take mock tests regularly to get on with the flow.
  • Practice at least 3 hours a day to achieve the best results in the quants section.

Tips for the English language: 

  • With basic language in elements such as preposition, adjectives, etc, you can clear this section easily. Don’t waste too much time on this section.
  • Read newspapers and listen to the news daily to improve your vocabulary. Have a separate note for English, Write down the meaning and antonyms for the words which you don’t know the meaning of.
  • Concentrate in areas like word substitution, replacing the phrase, idioms, and phrases and synonyms & antonyms.
