Commonwealth Sports has officially approved India as the host nation, reflecting the growing global recognition of Kho Kho and its strong cultural roots in India.

Over 24 Commonwealth countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas are expected to participate.

The Commonwealth comprises 56 independent nations with a combined population of 2.7 billion.

The event follows the successful first Kho Kho World Cup held earlier in New Delhi, which saw participation from 23 nations (20 men’s teams and 19 women’s teams).
