  • Selection will be conducted through an online assessment and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Language Proficiency Test (LPT):  Candidates who are provisionally selected from the online assessment will need to take a language proficiency test (LPT).  The LPT will serve as a qualifying test and will be administered in the Official / Local Language/s of the respective State. Candidates who do not demonstrate proficiency in the Official / Local Language as specified by the LPT will be disqualified.

  • All online assessments, except for the General English Language test, will be offered in English, Hindi, and various other Regional Languages.

  • Candidates must pass each section of the online assessment individually.
  • If the exam is conducted in multiple sessions, the scores will be adjusted according to IBPS’ standard procedures to account for slight variances in difficulty across different test sets used in the sessions. The ‘corrected scores’ for each candidate from different sessions (if applicable) will be normalised using the equi-percentile method.

  • Only candidates who rank sufficiently high in overall marks from the Online Assessment will be invited to the LPT; this merit will be determined by the Bank in relation to the number of vacancies available.

  • Passing the LPT is compulsory, and no candidate will be exempted from taking the LPT, which will take place at the respective Regional Offices of the Bank.
  • The final selection will depend on the candidate’s performance in the online exam (ranked in order of merit), passing the LPT, medical fitness, verification of credentials, etc., to the satisfaction of the Bank. The Bank’s decision on this matter will be conclusive.
  • The appointment of the chosen candidate will be contingent upon their being declared medically fit according to the Bank’s regulations.
