About CISF

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), a multi-skilled security agency set-up in the year 1969 by the Parliament of India. CISF is a Central Armed Police Force in India and it is directly under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, which maintains internal security and domestic policy in Indian State Department. The CISF headquarters are located at New Delhi.

At the beginning CISF was set up with 3000 personnel’s for providing security to the Public Sector Undertakings and Government Installations. At present CISF has grown up to strength of nearly 1, 50,000 personnel’s for providing internal security which also includes Airport Security, Security of Government Buildings, Fertilizer Units, Coal Mines, Note press, Steel Plants, Monument Security, Disaster Management, VIP Security, Delhi metro Rail Corporation security and more. Beside these internal securities, Central             Industrial Security Force also offers protection against Fire hazards.

CISF Jobs 2017-18

Central Industrial Security Force consists of three branches, the executive branch, Fire Service branch and Ministerial branch. Each branch is headed by Director General, Supervisory officers and the enrolled personnel’s. CISF is highly specialized, trained and well-equipped for providing internal security services.

The gazette rank officers in the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) are the Director General, Additional Director General, Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General, Additional Deputy Inspector General, Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Assistant Commandant. Other than them all other non-gazette officers are in the equal ranking as other Indian Police Forces. The non-gazette officers are Subeditor major, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Head Constable, Constables and followers.
