The Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with the Government of India has decided that the limits for Ways and Means Advances (WMA) for the second half of the financial year 2019-20 (October 2019 to March 2020) will be Rs. 35,000 crore.The Reserve Bank retains the flexibility to revise the limit at any time, in consultation with the Government of India, taking into consideration the prevailing circumstances. The Reserve Bank may trigger fresh floatation of market loans when the Government of India utilises 75 per cent of the WMA limit. The interest rate on WMA will be Repo Rate and overdraft will be 2% above the Repo Rate.

One of the largest annual gatherings of Commonwealth Parliamentarians will take place from 22 to 29 September 2019 at the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) hosted by the CPA Uganda Branch and the Parliament of Uganda.

Saipratheek Krishnaprasad and Ashwini Bhat went down to Thailand’s Chaloempon Charoenkitamorn and Chasinee Korepap in the mixed doubles final. Men’s doubles pair of Arun George and Sanyam Shukla lost to top seeds Keiichiro Matsui and Yoshinori Takeuchi from Japan.

In the men’s over 109kg category, Georgia’s Lasha Talakhadze broke all three world records in snatch, clean and jerk and total and secured all three gold medals for his country. The 10-day championships also served as qualifying event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
