IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2018

Phase-IPreliminary Examination

The IBPS Clerk Preliminary exam is conducted online. The total time for this exam is 1 hour. There are total 3 sections in the exam that are English language, Numerical ability and Reasoning ability. Total number of questions n this exam are 100 and every question counts for 1 mark. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. So, it is mandatory that every aspirant should clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to get selected for IBPS Clerk Mains exam.

Phase – IIMain Examination

If you clear the prelims exam, then the next phase is Mains exam. The total time allotted for the exam is 160 minutes. It comprises of four sections that are   General/Financial awareness, English language, Reasoning ability, Computer, quantitative aptitude. The number of questions in general/financial awareness is 50, in English language are 40, in reasoning ability and computer aptitude are 50 and in quantitative ability are 50. There are total 190 questions. Each correct answer will be counted for 1 mark each. There is negative marking for each wrong answer that is 0.25 marks.
