PNB Apprentice Selection Process
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on an online written test, Document Verification, Test of Local Language, and Medical Examination.
- Candidates will be required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate as decided by the Bank (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
- There will be no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects.
- Candidates will be selected based on their merit, subject to reservation rules.
- In case more than one candidates score same marks (same marks at cut off point), the candidate with the higher age will be ranked higher in the merit list.
- The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State.
- Candidates who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
- For other candidates, the test for knowledge of the local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process.
- It will be conducted when the candidate is called for document verification by the Bank.
- Candidates who fail to qualify for this test will not be engaged as apprentices.
