3x2 – 12x – 7x + 28 = 0

3x (x – 4) – 7 (x – 4) = 0

II) (256)1/4 y = – (216)1/3

(44)1/4 y = – (63)1/3

4y = -6

Y = – (6/4) = -1.5

Total population of state Q and R in the year 2014 and 2016 together

Required % = (126/132.5)*100 = 95 %

2013 = > 36 + 33.5 + 27 = 96.5 lakhs

2014 = > 36 + 32.5 + 28.5 = 97 lakhs

2015 = > 35.5 + 34 + 30 = 99.5 lakhs

2016 = > 30.5 + 37 + 41 = 108.5 lakhs

2017 = > 42.5 + 39 + 32 = 113.5 lakhs

In the year 2016, the total population is second highest.

The total population of all the given states together in the year 2013 and 2017 together

= > 36 + 33.5 + 27 + 42.5 + 39 + 32

= > 210 lakhs

The total population of all the given states together in the year 2014 and 2016 together

= > 36 + 32.5 + 28.5 + 30.5 + 37 + 41

= > 205.5 lakhs

Required difference = 210 – 205.5 = 4.5 lakhs

The total population of state P of all the given years together

= > 33.5 + 36 + 35.5 + 37 + 39 = 181 lakhs

The total population of state R of all the given years together

= > 36 + 32.5 + 34 + 41 + 42.5 = 186 lakhs

Required ratio = 181 : 186

Total population in the year 2015 for all the given states together

= > 35.5 + 34 + 30 = 99.5 lakhs

Total population in the year 2017 for all the given states together

= > 42.5 + 39 + 32 = 113.5 lakhs

Required % = [(113.5 – 99.5)/113.5]*100 = 12 %
