Direction (6-10): Study the following information carefully and answer the below questions

Eight persons namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are sitting around a circular table facing the centre. All the persons are sitting along the circumference of the circle at an equal distance between them. The radius(r) of the circle is 84m and the circumference of the circle is 2∏r. All persons like different pet animals- Cat, Rabbit, Chick, Ox, Dog, Duck, Cow, and Goat. All the information is not necessarily in the same order.

Answers :

Directions (1-5) :

We have:

A person sitting third to the right of D sitting second to the left of M, whose age is 21 years

  • D and M are facing in the same direction but opposite to R.

That means, in case (1) D sits facing away from the centre, in case (2) D sits facing the centre.

  • B’s age is multiple of 7 and sits third to the right of T, who sits facing away from the centre.
  • T either sits immediately left to D or M, but not sitting adjacent to H.

That means, in case (1) T sits immediate left of D, in case (1a) & case (2) T sits immediate left of M.

Based on the above-given information we have:

Again, we have:

  • H sits second to the left of the one whose age is 27 years and sits opposite to the one whose age is multiple of 5.
  • H sits third to the right of the one whose age is 26 years, both are not facing in the same direction.
  • The age of D is neither 26 nor 27 years.

That means, in case (1) H sits third to the right of D, case (1a) & case (2) are not valid.

Based on the above-given information we have:

Case (1a) & case (2) are not valid as H sits third to the right of the one whose age is 26 years, and Age of D is neither 26 nor 27 years.

Again, we have:

  • The one whose age is 39 years and K are sitting immediate right of each other.
  • A person sitting immediate left of K sitting second to the left of the one whose age is 15years.

That means, in case (1) T’s age is 15 years.

  • At least two persons are sitting between the one whose age is 25 years and the one whose age is 14 years.
  • The one whose age is 28 years and Z are not facing in the same direction but both are not sitting together.

That means, Z’s age is 26 years, and D’s age is 14 years.

Based on the above-given information we have the final arrangement as follows:

1) Answer: B

2) Answer: B

3) Answer: C

4) Answer: B

5) Answer: E

Directions (6-10) :

We have,

Radius=84m

Circumference=2∏r -> 2*22/7*84=528m, So each person sits at a distance from each other=528/8=66m

  • G sits 132m away from A who likes Ox.

From the above condition, there are two possibilities.

Again we have,

  • D likes Chick and sits third to the left of the one who likes Cat.
  • F sits immediate left of A.
  • The distance between F and the one who likes Cat is 198m.
  • The one who likes cat neither sits adjacent to G nor A.

Again we have,

  • The one who likes Dog sits immediate right of E.
  • One person sits between E and B.
  • B sits second to the right of the one who likes Chick.
  • H sits adjacent to B.

From the above condition, there are three possibilities.

Again we have,

  • The distance between the one who likes Rabbit and Duck is the same as between the one who likes Duck and Goat.
  • The one who likes Goat either sits adjacent to the ones who like Dog or Cat but not both.
  • The one who likes Rabbit sits immediate right of the one who likes Cow.
  • Neither C nor H likes Cow.

From the above condition, case2 and case2a get eliminated. Case1 shows the final arrangement.

6) Answer: A

7) Answer: E

8) Answer: A

9) Answer: B

10) Answer: B
