ESIC Exam Eligibility 2020: Employee State Insurance Corporation conducts a national level exam to recruit to the post of Clerk, MTS, IMO, UDC, Stenographer, and Paramedical Posts. The ESIC recruitment notification releases every year. The recruitment is done on the basis of available vacancies. ESIC Exam Eligibility for Nationality:

The Nationality required under ESIC Exam Eligibility is as follows:

The candidate should be

  • Citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who has come over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of the origin of Indian who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to the categories mentioned above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  • In case of a candidate for whom a certificate of eligibility is required may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been provided to him by the Government of India.

ESIC Exam Eligibility for Stenographer:

Age:

For the post of ESIC Stenographer, the age limit is between 18 to 27 years.

Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age 27 years

The age relaxation is as per government norms for different categories.

Age Relaxation:

OBC 3 years
SC/ST 5 years
PH (Physically Handicapped) UR- 10 years

OBC- 13 years

SC/ST- 15 years

Ex-Servicemen UR- 3 years

OBC- 6 years

SC/ST- 8 years

ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who have contributed not less than 3 years regular and continuous service till the closing date UR- up to 40 years

OBC- up to 43 years

SC/ST- up to 45 years.

 ESIC Stenographer Educational Qualification:                    

  • The candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Exam (12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized board).
  • The candidate should have a speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English/Hindi.
  • The candidate is expected to have knowledge of Computers including the use of Office Suites and databases.

ESIC Exam Eligibility – Multitasking Staff (MTS):

Age Limit:

The ESIC age limit for multitasking staff required is 18 years to 25 years.

Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age 25   years

 

Note: The Candidates will get the age relaxation of 5 years and will be applicable as per the rules of the central government. The upper age limit can be relaxed to the candidates (ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen)

Educational Qualification for MTS:

According to the ESIC exam eligibility, the candidates must have cleared matriculation (12th) from a recognized board or any equivalent academic qualification from a recognized board under the government of India.

ESIC Exam Eligibility for UDC:

Age Limit:

The ESIC age limit for Upper division clerk (UDC) is 18 to 27 years.

Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age 26   years

UDC Educational Qualification:

  • The candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in the required stream from a recognized university or institute.
  • They must have basic knowledge of computers.

ESIC Exam Eligibility Social Security Officer (SSO)

ESIC SSO Age Limit:

The candidate’s age must be between 21 to 27 years.

Minimum age 21 years
Maximum age 27   years

 The age relaxation for persons belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants.

Age Relaxation:

OBC 3 years
SC/ST 5 years
PH (Physically Handicapped) UR- 10 years

OBC- 13 years

SC/ST- 15 years

Ex-Servicemen UR- 3 years

OBC- 6 years

SC/ST- 8 years

ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who have contributed not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application UR- up to 40 years

OBC- up to 43 years

SC/ST- up to 45 years

Note- The candidate is supposed to continue to have the position of ESIC / Government. Servant until the time of appointment, in case of selection.

ESIC SSO Educational Qualification:

  • The candidate must have a degree from a recognized University (Candidates who are graduates in Commerce/Law/Management will be given more preference).
  • The candidate must have a knowledge of computers including the use of office suites and databases.
  • The candidate must have experience of at least three years in a Government Organization or corporation or Government Undertaking or Local Body or Scheduled Bank etc.

ESIC Exam Eligibility Insurance Medical Officer (IMO):

ESIC IMO Age:

The age for the Insurance medical officer is 18 to 30 years. The age relaxation is as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/ ESIC employee/ex-serviceman.

Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age                            30 years

ESIC IMO Educational Qualification:

The educational qualification for the IMO is as follows,

  • The candidate must have a recognized medical qualification which are other than the Approved Qualifications of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Candidates should also comply with the conditions laid down in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Candidates must have completed a compulsory rotating internship. Applicants who have not completed a rotating internship may be required to appear for a written test provided that, if chosen, they have completed a mandatory rotating internship before appointment.
  • The candidates must have a registration with the Medical Council of India.

ESIC Exam Eligibility for Junior Engineer:

ESIC JE Age Limit:

The candidate’s age should be between 18 to 30 years for unreserved candidates.

  • 5 years relaxation for Government Servants and employees of ESI Corporation
  • Upper age limit is also relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen & other categories of persons as per rules/instructions of Govt. of India

  • You must have a Diploma/ Degree in Civil/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized board.
  • For Junior engineer two years of professional experience is required.
