ESIC Stenographer Recruitment 2022 Notification: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility the certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

The aspirants must have a 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Skill Test Norms, Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 80 words per minute.
Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (Only on computers).

Age Limit:

Between 18 to 27 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. 15th February 2022.

Age Relaxation:

SC/ST/PWD/ Departmental Candidates, Female Candidates & Ex-Servicemen – Rs. 250/-
All other categories – Rs. 500/-

ESIC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2022:

ESIC Stenographer Mains Exam Pattern

The ESIC Stenographer Prelims Exam will be tested on General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, English Language and Comprehension. The Prelims Exam Pattern for ESIC Stenographer is given:

The marks obtained in Phase-I – Main Examination will be considered for final selection.
For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question.
The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II Skill Test in Stenography in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – I.

ESIC Stenographer Skill Test Exam Pattern

The topics that are to be tested are English, Hindi. The Skill Test Exam Pattern ESIC Stenographer is given below:
