IBPS RRB Selection Process:

In all the recruitments prelims marks are not considered for the final provisional allotment. The final selection cut off is based on the mains and interview mark. But for the office assistant post, there is no interview. For this post, the final selection will depend only upon the mains marks. Apart from this, the candidates should pass in all the stages to get the selection order.

IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria:

According to the IBPS RRB official notification, there are certain eligibility criteria to apply for these exams. We have provided all those details in a clear manner. Candidates refer to all the details carefully and check that you are hundred percent eligible to apply for these exams. In case if you give fake details in the application, to make yourself eligible, then your candidature will get canceled at any stage. The 3 main eligibility norms as per the IBPS RRB official notification 2020 are,

  • Nationality
  • Age
  • Educational Qualification

Nationality:

As per the IBPS RRB recruitment notification 2020, only following candidates can apply for these exams.

  1. Indian citizens (or)
  2. Bhutan citizens (or)
  3. Nepal citizens (or)
  4. a Tibetan Refugee (He should have come to India before the 1st of January 1962, with an intention of permanent settling) (or)
  5. Indian origin persons migrated from Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, East African countries Ethiopia, Zaire, Malawi, Zambia, United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Kenya, and Uganda. (They should have migrated with the intention of permanently settling in India).

The candidates in the above cases 2, 3, 4, and 5 should produce an eligibility certificate issued by the Indian government.

Age:

As per the IBPS RRB 2020 official notification, there is an age limit set for the candidates. The age of the candidates should lie in that mentioned range. Only then the candidates can apply for this recruitment. The age limit will vary for each recruitment post.

Educational Qualification:

The basic educational qualification for this recruitment is a degree from a government recognized University.  As per the IBPS RRB clerk notification 2020, the experience is not required for the office assistant post.

For Officer Scale I post also, experience is not compulsory. But for the officer scale II & III posts, experience is compulsory in the relevant field. Also as per the IBPS RRB PO notification 2020, the candidates should have a degree in the field relevant to the posts. IBPS RRB Prelims Exam Pattern:

As per the IBPS RRB notification 2020, the prelims exam is the first stage for office assistant and officer scale I posts. The details of the prelims exam are,

  • Total marks 80.
  • Total time duration – 45 minutes (No sectional timing).
  • For each correct answer – 1 mark.
  • Negative marks – 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Both sectional cut off and overall cut off are applicable. The prelims cleared candidates will attend the mains exam.

IBPS RRB Mains Exam Pattern:

As per the official notification of IBPS RRB 2020, the mains exam pattern for office assistant and officer scale I posts are given below. The other details of the mains exam are,

  • Total marks – 200.
  • Total time duration – 2 hours (no sectional timing).
  • Penalty for each wrong answer – 1/4th of marks assigned to that question.

Candidates should clear both sectional and overall cutoffs to get qualified in this exam.

IBPS RRB Single Level Examination Patterns:

For officer scale II & III posts, there is no prelims exam as per the IBPS RRB 2020 notification pdf. The single-level exam is the first selection phase. The candidates clearing the single level exam will appear for the interview.

  • Total marks – 200.
  • As a penalty for each wrong answer, you will lose 1/4th of the marks.
  • Sectional timing is not applicable. Within the available time limit, you can swap between the sections as per your wish.
  • To get qualified for the interview, the candidates need to crack the overall and sectional cut offs.

IBPS RRB 2020 Admit Card

The candidates who submit their application forms online successfully will receive the IBPS RRB. They will be eligible to appear for the online exam. The IBPS RRB Admit card is issued on a pre-informed date, which is generally 10 days prior to the exam date. The Admit Card for IBPS RRB Office Assistant and Officer Post will be issued separately.

IBPS RRB 2020 Result

After the candidates have appeared for the IBPS RRB Exam the result will be declared. The result for IBPS RRB Office Assistant and Officer Grade will be made available. The result for IBPS RRB is of key importance as it will be the gateway to appear for the next stage of the exam.

A: You can apply for IBPS RRB from 1 July to 21st July 2020.

Q: What are the posts for which IBPS RRB conducts the recruitment process?

A: IBPS RRB conducts recruitment for the post of Office Assistant/Clerk and Officer Grade I/PO, II, III posts.

Q: What is the Selection Process For IBPS RRB 2020?

A: Candidates applying for Office Assistant will have to appear for the prelims and mains exam only.  Candidates applying for IBPS PO will have to appear for the Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Candidates applying for Officer Scale Post II and III will have to appear for Mains and Interview.

  1. Can a candidate apply for multiple posts?

A: Yes, you can apply for Office Assistant and Officer Grade Post also. But you can apply only for one post in the Officer Grade Category.

Q: How many times can I appear for the IBPS RRB Exam?

A: You can appear as many times but with respect to the age limit. There is no restriction in IBPS RRB for the no. of attempts.
