  • Iraq’s prime minister Mr Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced plans for a $17 billion regional transportation project intended to facilitate the flow of goods from Asia to Europe.
  • India has joined the Centralized Laboratory Network (CLN) which currently has 15 partner facilities in 13 countries that works to test vaccines which can be used during pandemic, epidemic disease outbreak.
  • The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has won the bid to host the 2025 World Conservation Congress (WCC) of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

  • Odisha Chief Minister (CM) Shri Naveen Patnaik announced the launch of the ‘Mo Ghara’ (My House) a credit-linked housing scheme to provide financial assistance to people of states for completing or upgrading their houses.
  • Haryana Chief Minister (CM) Shri Manohar Lal launched the community policing outreach programme Haryana Uday from the Gurugram district of the state, another innovative initiative towards public welfare.
  • The Telangana government headed by the Chief Minister Shri K.Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that at least one de-addiction centre would be established, in all 33 districts (one each).
  • The Maharashtra government has approved a new financial scheme Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana under which more than one crore farmers in the state will be paid 6,000 rupees annually.
  • The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government stated that it provided protection to 11,57,204 destitute cattle by spending a total of 1,681.61 crore under the Mukhyamantri Nirasrit Govansh Sahbhagita Yojana.

  • Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced that Ikano Bank AB in Sweden has selected the TCS BaNCS Global Banking SaaS Platform for its pan-Europe core banking transformation.
  • Draft valuation rules for overseas investments into startups under the ‘angel tax’ regime have been announced & the rules have been issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
