  • HDFC Bank has introduced 3 new digital payment products on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).
  • The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has issued India’s first-ever ‘AAA’ rated Indian Rupee denominated Social Bonds.

  • State Bank of India (SBI), the nation’s largest lender, has introduced a unique strategy to encourage timely repayments from retail borrowers.
  • Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited (KMAMCL), in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has launched the ‘Seekho Paiso ki Bhasha’ investor education and awareness initiative.

  • The Automotive Research Association of India ( ARAI ) has signed an MoU with llT Guwahati for the Establishment of a Common Engineering Facility Center titled “Digital Twin Center for Emerging Automotive Systems” in the Hub and Spoke model.
  • The UAE and India will cooperate more closely in sustainable industrial development following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed at Emirates Palace.

  • India has retained its 40th rank out of 132 economies in the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2023 rankings, released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
  • The 34th edition of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI 34) was published by Z/Yen Group in partnership with the China Development Institute (CDI).
  • The India Ageing Report 2023 was released by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS).

  • The 30th edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) has successfully concluded in Singapore.
  • The Indian Coast Guard Pollution-Control Vessel ‘Samudra Prahari’ conducted a Pollution Response Table-Top exercise with Thai officials at Khlong Toei Port in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • The 11th edition of the SAMPRITI joint military exercise (SAMPRITI-XI) between the Indian Army and the Bangladesh Army has commenced in Umroi, Meghalaya.
