  • The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) presented a dividend cheque of Rs 1,831.09 crore to Finance Minister (FM) Smt Nirmala Sitharaman.
  • MobiKwik, a digital banking platform, has introduced a new feature called “Lens” to assist users with their financial wellness.
  • GoBrisk Technologies Private Limited (BriskPe), a cross-border payments FinTech company, and YES BANK have entered into a partnership to introduce BriskPe Account to Account (A2A) , a cutting-edge suite of solutions designed to empower exporters and importers.

  • The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has relaxed the domestic content requirement (DCR) norms for solar cells under Component C of the PM KUSUM scheme till March 2024.

  • The 12th Round of Ministerial India-United Kingdom (UK) Economic and Financial Dialogue took place in New Delhi.
  • The African Union has officially become a member of the G20 group, and this inclusion was made at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who was hosting the G20 Summit.

  • Assam Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria launched the ‘Sarpanch Samvad’ mobile app at Raj Bhavan in Guwahati, Assam.
  • Tamil Nadu (TN) Chief Minister (CM) Shri MK Stalin has inaugurated the ‘Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam’ (Kalaignar Women’s Rights Assistance Scheme), which provides a monthly assistance of 1,000 to women in TN.
  • The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Government has introduced a special Gift Deed Scheme.
  • The Griha Adhar scheme has been launched to empower the homemakers of Goa.

  • Fixed return investment platform Stable Money has launched the country’s first fixed deposit (FD) marketplace for retail investors.
  • The global debt burden retreated for the second year in a row, even though it remains above its already-high pre-pandemic level, according to the latest update of the IMF Global Debt Database.
  • REC Limited has sanctioned Rs. 6,075 Crore loan to renewable energy company Greenko for setting up a 1,440 MW Standalone Pumped Storage Project.

  • Gross Direct Tax collections for the Financial Year (FY) 2023-24, as of the 16th September, have registered a growth of 18.2 per cent.

  • Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Bharat Electronics Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop an indigenous Communication Based Train Control system.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) India has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) to support space-tech innovations through cloud computing.
  • In a significant development, 15 countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Switzerland, signed the UN Convention on the International Effects of Judicial Sales of Ships.
  • Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has partnered with Indian Bank to provide financing solutions to its dealers.
  • As part of its effort to expand its global network, Air India has entered into an interline partnership with Bangkok Airways in order to provide greater connectivity within Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia.

  • REC Limited has sanctioned debt funding of more than 3,081 Crore to renewable energy company Serentica Renewables for its 560 MW peak greenfield solar-wind hybrid project in Gadag district of Karnataka.
  • National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML), a 100% owned company of NHAI signed an agreement for the development of Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Bengaluru proposed to be developed under the Public Private Partnership (DBFOT) model at an estimated cost of Rs 1,770 crore, the agreement has been signed between Government SPV, Bengaluru MMLP Pvt. Ltd. & Concessionaire SPV M/s. PATH Bengaluru Logistics Park Pvt. Ltd.
  • Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises inked 3 separate MoUs, and laid the foundation stone of ‘Modern Khadi of New India’ in the Amritkal of Independent India.
  • The Odisha government signed an MoU with Gopalpur Port for further development and expansion of the facility in Ganjam district.

  • The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is set to construct the world’s highest fighter airfield in the Nyoma region of Ladakh.
  • The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) participated in the 19th Heads of Asian Coast Guard Agencies Meeting (HACGAM), which took place from September 5 to September 8, 2023, in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • The Indian Air Force (IAF) has received the first C-295MW transport aircraft from Airbus in Seville, Spain.
  • The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) chaired by Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, approved a total of 9 acquisition proposals totalling Rs 45,000 crore for the Indian Armed forces , including procurement of 12 Su-30MKIs for the Indian Air Force (IAF).
  • The Indian Navy Ship (INS) Sumedha participated in Exercise Bright Star-23 with multiple other navies in the Mediterranean Sea.
  • Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh has dedicated to the nation 90 infrastructure projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), worth over Rs 2,900 crore ($350 Million), spread across 11 States/Union Territories.
