International Day of UN Peacekeepers 2021 theme is “The road to lasting peace: Leveraging the power of youth for peace and security”.

This year is dedicated to the younger generation who are serving for the peacekeeping causes. More than thousands of young youth in the age group of 18 to 25 years are considered as the main reason behind the success of their mandated activities. Consent: Consent should be acquired from the concerned parties concerned because without consent it is a peace enforcement mission instead of a peacekeeping mission.
Impartiality: Impartiality does not mean initiating any action or being neutral, in this case.
No use of violence: The use of force is only allowed in self-defense cases and in defending the mandate. The UN peacekeepers should only keep the use of force as a last option.
