Our democratic India consists of 29 states and 7 union territories such as Andaman and nicobar, Delhi and Puducherry, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Damn and Diu, Lakshwadeep. Andaman and Nicobar, Delhi and Puducherry are comes under the control of lieutenant governors. Delhi and Puducherry union territories have governors for their states. The rest of four territories like Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, and Lakshwadeep are governed by an administrator, unlike administrator of other territories who are drawn from (IAS) the Indian administrative service.
