The 17th Lok Sabha Election was held through India. As per the prescheduled calender, the election was conducted in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. For this election, approximately 900 million Indian citizens were eligible to vote in one of the seven phases depending on the region. This time over 67% of voters has polled. This is the highest ever in the history of Indian general elections. As well the highest recorded participation in Indian elections by women. In India, there are two major parties have been participated for Lok Sabha Election. They are Bharatiya Janata Party & Indian National Congress (INC). BJP is getting an alliance with NDA and Congress is get an alliance with UPA.

Among that who will get the majority, will get administrative power in India. There is Narendra Modi for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) & Rahul Gandhi for Indian National Congress. The members of the largest party or coalition will then choose the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi is the Ex-Prime Minister of Our India. Last year he participated in Varanasi constituency and Rahul Gandi was participated in Wayanad & Amethi. In 2014, Narendra Modi-led BJP had won 282 seats out of 543 constituencies in Lok Sabha handing out a massive defeat to the 10-year-rule of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led by the Indian National Congress.

This year nearly 2,000 parties and over 8,000 candidates will be contesting elections for 543 seats. Millions of poll workers, Security personnel and Police forces are deployed in cities, towns, villages, and hamlets to conduct the election without any distraction or violence. The highest voting was recorded in Assam where 80 percent of people came up to vote. West Bengal was a close second with 79.36 percent voting.

Indian Lok Sabha Details: Lok Sabha election has been conducted once in 5 years. This is specially conducted for Lok Sabha (or) Lower house of India’s Bicameral Parliament. The maximum strength of the Lok Sabha seat is about 552. But currently, the house has 545 seats. Among that 543 seats were elected through the general election and the remaining 2 seats for Anglo-Indian Community which was were nominated by President of India. Among this, 131 seats were reserved for representatives of Scheduled Castes (84) and Scheduled Tribes (47).
