Thursday A Srilanka
Friday F

  • The one who belongs to India attend the quiz after B.

Case 1:

Day Person Country
Monday
Tuesday B Pakistan
Wednesday
Thursday A Srilanka
Friday F India
Saturday Bangladesh
Sunday

Case 2:

Day Person Country
Monday
Tuesday B Bangladesh
Wednesday
Thursday A Srilanka
Friday F India
Saturday Pakistan
Sunday
  • E attends the quiz immediately before C.
  • E does not belong to Bangladesh.
  • From this statement Case 1 is dropped and Case 2 becomes,

Case 2:

Day Person Country
Monday
Tuesday B Bangladesh
Wednesday
Thursday A Srilanka
Friday F India
Saturday E Pakistan
Sunday C
  • D does not attend the quiz immediately before or after A. So D should attend the quiz on Monday.

Direction (6-10)

  • Rahul was born in March and lives on fifth floor.
  • Sachin lives immediately above the person who was born in March.
  • Sachin was born in December.
  • Neither Dhoni nor Yuvi lives either lowermost or topmost floor of the building.
  • Dhoni lives above the floor of Virat but not immediately above.
  • Yuvi lives one of the floors below Dhoni.

From these Statements we have 4 possible cases.

Case 1:

Floor number Person Month
7
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4 Dhoni
3 Yuvi
2 Virat
1

Case 2:

Floor number Person Month
7
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4 Dhoni
3
2 Yuvi
1 Virat

Case 3:

Floor number Person Month
7
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4
3 Dhoni
2 Yuvi
1 Virat

Case 4:

Floor number Person Month
7
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4 Dhoni
3 Yuvi
2
1 Virat

  • Yuvi lives below the person who was born in May,but not immediately below.
  • The one who lives third floor is not born in May.
  • The person who was born in August lives below Dhoni but not immediately below.
  • Dhoni was not born in April or July
  • The persons who were born in consecutive months are not live in the adjacent floors.

From these above Statements

For case 1:

  • Dhoni was not born in July, August and April, hence Dhoni was born in either May or June.
    • Dhoni was born not born May because Yuvi not lives immediately below of the person who was born in May.
    • Let us assume Dhoni was born in June.
    • The person who lives topmost was born in May.
    • Yuvi was not born in August and July, hence yuvi was born in April.
    • Then we have only two months July and August both are consecutive months.
    • The person born in Consecutive months does not live in the adjacent floors.
    • So case 1 was dropped.

Case 1:

For case 2:

  • Dhoni was not born in July, August and April, hence Dhoni was born in either May or June.
  • Let as assume Dhoni was born in May.
  • Then the person who lives on floor no.3 was not born in April, August and June, hence the person who lives in 3rd floor was born in July.
  • From the conditions Yuvi was not born in August and June, hence Yuvi was born in April.
  • The person who was born in August lives below Dhoni but not immediately below.
  • Hence Virat was born in August.
  • So the person lives topmost floor who was born in June.
  • Finally all the conditions are fully satisfied.

For case 2 -In case Dhoni was born in June.

  • The person born in August should live in floor number 1 or 2 and also the person born in July should live in floor number 1 or 2. So it is not possible because the person born in Consecutive months does not live in the adjacent floors.
  • So Dhoni was not born in June month in case 2.

For case 3:

  • Dhoni was not born in April, July, August and May, hence Dhoni was born in June.
  • Yuvi was not born in July and August, hence Yuvi was born in April.
    • The remaining July was not fixed correct position because the person born in Consecutive months does not live in the adjacent floors.
  • So case 3 was also dropped.

For case 4:

  • Dhoni was not born in July, August and April, hence Dhoni was born in either May or June.
    • Dhoni was born not born May because Yuvi not lives immediately below of the person who was born in May.
    • Let as assume Dhoni was born in June.
    • The person who lives topmost was born in May.
    • Yuvi was not born in August and July, hence Yuvi was born in April.
    • Then we have only two months July and August both are consecutive months.
    • The person born in Consecutive months does not live in the adjacent floors.
    • Then the case 4 was also dropped. And finally we get only one case. i.e., case 2.

Case 2:

Floor number Person Month
7 June
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4 Dhoni May
3 July
2 Yuvi April
1 Virat August
  •  Then either Ashwin or Raina lives on either floor number 7 or floor number 3. Thus the final arrangement becomes,
Floor number Person Month
7 Ashwin/Raina June
6 Sachin December
5 Rahul March
4 Dhoni May
3 Ashwin/Raina July
2 Yuvi April
1 Virat August
