Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H live on eight different floors of a building but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor of the building is numbered 1 and the topmost floor of the building is numbered 8. Each of them likes different cars viz, Renault KWID, Maruti Swift, Tata Tiago, Maruti Alto 800, Datsun Redi GO, Maruti Celerio, Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Grand i10 but not necessarily in the same order.

The one who likes Maruti Alto 800 lives on an even numbered floor and lives just above the person who likes Hyundai Grand i10. C does not like Datsun Redi GO or Hyundai Grand i10. Only two persons live between the one who likes Maruti Celerio and the one who likes Renault KWID . D does not like Maruti Wagon R. The one who likes Maruti Celerio does not live on an odd-numbered floor. H lives just below the one who likes Hyundai Grand i10.
