Number of males candidate passed from institute T

= 2500/15*16*30/100 = 800

Number of male candidate passed from institute V

= 2500/15*17*60/100

= 1700

Required Ratio= 800:1700= 8:17

  1. Answer: (e)

Total number of candidates passed from institute U

= 2080/80*100 = 2600

Total number of candidate passed from all the institute

= 2600/13*100= 20000

Total number of candidates enrolled from all the institute

= 20000/25*100 = 80000

Required average = 46400/4= 11600

  1. Answer: (d)

The number of candidates who passed the exam from institute T is 2800 more than the number of candidates who passed the exam from Institute S

T=2800+S

T-S= 2800

7’s = 2800

= 450

Number of female candidate passed from T

= 20000*16/100*70/100

= 2240

Required average= 1950+450+2240= 4640

Directions (6-10)

  1. Answer: (e)

Selling price of Redmi = 8000*120/100= Rs 9600

Selling price of Nokia= 20000*115/100= Rs 23000

Required percentage= (23000-9600)/23000* 100= 58.26%

  1. Answer: (a)

Cost price of Micromax= 12000/80*100= Rs 15000

Cost price of Samsung= 18000/90*100= Rs 20000

Required difference= 20000- 15000= Rs 5000

Cost price of Micromax= 12000/80*100= Rs 15000

Cost price of Samsung= 18000/90*100= Rs 20000

So, Average price of all the mobile companies

Marked price*65/100 = Selling price

MP *(65/100) = 19500

MP = 19500*100/65= 30000

  1. Answer: (b)

Profit earned in Apple= 15000*30/100= Rs 4500
