a) Rs. 10

b) Rs. 12

c) Rs. 18

d) none of these

16 U + 8 P =136000

P = U + 2000

U = P โ€“ 2000

16(P โ€“ 2000) + 8P = 136000

24P โ€“ 32000 = 136000

24P = 168000

P = Rs. 7000

Work done by L and M in 4 days =(1/12 +1/18) x 4 = 5/9

Remaining work = 1-5/9 = 4/9

N alone can do the work in 9/4 x 4 = 9 days

Ratio of their share of work = 4/12 : 4/18 : 4/9

=3:2:4

Rs. 900 is divided as Rs. 300, Rs. 200 and Rs. 400

A one day work = 1/12

B one day work = 1/10

B + C one day work = 1/5

C one day work = 1/5 โ€“ 1/10 = 1/10

D one day work = 1/15

A + B + C + D one day work = 1/8 + 1/10 + 1/10 + 1/15

=7/20

Out of 7/20 of work, work done by C = 1/10

Out of Rs. 100 paid for the work, C will receive [(1/10) / (7/20)] x 100

= Rs. 28.57

Cโ€™s earnings = 11500 โ€“ 6500 = Rs. 5000

Bโ€™s earnings = 9500 โ€“ 5000 = Rs. 4500

Aโ€™s earnings = 6500 โ€“ 4500 = Rs. 2000

Sum of A and cโ€™s salary = 2000 + 5000 = Rs. 7000

Work done by A = ( 1 โ€“ 10/29) = 19/29

A : (B+C) =19/29 : 10/29 = 19:10

So Aโ€™s share = Rs. (19/29) x 1160

= Rs. 760

Lalithaโ€™s wage : kamalaโ€™s wage = lalithaโ€™s 1 day work : kamalaโ€™s 1 day work

= 1/5 : 1/4 = 5 : 4

Lalithaโ€™s share = (5/9) x 1755 = Rs. 975

Note: here the information of 15 salwars is to be ignored

Whole work is done by A in (5/3)x3 = 5 days

Whole work is done by B in ( 7/3)x6 = 14 days

Aโ€™s wage : Bโ€™s wage = Aโ€™s 1 day work : Bโ€™s 1 day work

= 1/5 : 1/14

=14:5

Aโ€™s share = (14/19) x 247 =Rs. 182

Cโ€™s one day work = 1/4 โ€“ ( 1/12 + 1/18)

= 1/4 โ€“ 5/36 = 1/9

Aโ€™s wage : Bโ€™s wage : Cโ€™s wage = 1/12 : 1/18 : 1/9

= 3:2:4

Cโ€™s share = (4/9) x 8910 = Rs. 3960

Aโ€™s share = (3/9) x 8910 = Rs. 2970

Total = Rs. 6930

Part of work done by A = (1/8) x 4 = 1/2

Part of work done by B = (1/6) x 4 = 2/3

Part of work done by C = 1 โ€“ (1/2 + 2/3) = 1/6

Aโ€™s share : Bโ€™s share : Cโ€™s share = 1/2 : 2/3 : 1/6 = 6:4:1

Bโ€™s share = (4/11) x 5500 = Rs. 2000

Cโ€™s share = (1/11) x 5500 = Rs. 500

Bโ€™s daily wages = 2000/4 = Rs. 500

Cโ€™s daily wages = 500/3 = Rs. 16.66

Total = 500 + 16.66 = 516.66 = Rs. 517

8B + 4M = 1/20

10B + 3M = 1/24

Solving the above equations,

M = 1/96

B = 1/960

B :M = 1:10

Boyโ€™s wage = (1/10) x menโ€™s wage

= (1/10) x 80 = Rs.8
