Milk = 2/3 * 60 = 40

Water = 1/3 * 60 = 20

Milk in 24 liter = 2/3 * 24 = 16

Water in 24 liter = 1/3 * 24 = 8 liters

Final quantity of the milk = 40 – 16 = 24

Final quantity of the water = 20 – 8 + 24 = 36

Required percentage = 24/36 * 100 = 66.67%

Here passing mark is equal. So,

(30/100)*x + 13 = (44/100)*x – 15

(14/100)*x = 28

X = 28*(100/14) = 200

Maximum mark = 200

5 years ago, the ratio of ages of Ragu and Sumi = 7: 8(7x, 8x)

The present age of Ragu and Sumi = 7x + 5, 8x + 5

Vasu = Ragu – 10

Vasu = Sumi – 15

Ragu – 10 = Sumi – 15

Sumi – Ragu = 5

1’s = 5

The present age of Ragu = 7x + 5 = 40 years

Let the still water and stream be x and y,

Distance = Time*[(x2 – y2)/2x]

= > 3*[(302 – 152)/ (2*30)]

= > 3*[(900 – 225)/60]

= > 3*(675/60)

Let us take the distance between two places be x km

Downstream speed = 30+15 = 45 kmph

Upstream speed = 30-15 = 15 kmph

Given,

x/45+x/15 = 3

(x+3x)/45 = 3

4x = 45*3

P(E) = n(E)/n(S)
