If all the Vowels in the alphabets are excluded and rest of Consonants as coded as follows i.e., B as 1, C as 2, D as 3…… upto K as 8. Then from L as 1, M as 2,….upto T as 8. Again V as 1, ……up to Z as 8.

Conditions:

  1. If the word begins with vowels and ends with consonants then last vowel of that word is coded as “%”.
  2. If the word begins and ends with consonants then last letter of the word is coded as “#”.
  3. If the word has more than three vowels then all the vowels have been removed from the word.
  4. If the word begins with consonants and ends with vowels then all the vowels present in the word will be coded as “&”.

Note: If two or more conditions are follows in a word then all the conditions will apply.

  1. What is the code of “super”?
  1. 7U7E#
  2. 7U4E#
  3. 7U47#
  4. 7U4E%
  5. 75UE#
  1. What is the code of “position”?

  5. 742
  1. What is the code of “border”?
  1. 1O65E#
  2. 1O63E%
  3. C.OO63E#
  4. IO53E#
  5. 1O63E#

Direction (1-5)

H is 2nd from the right end.

E is 28 years old and all the persons are sitting to the left are younger to E and all the persons are sitting to the right of E are elder to E.Three persons are sitting between E and F. F is elder to E so F is to the right of E.

H

B is 13 years old and C is 22 years old so at least two persons are to the left of E. So if E is 3rd from the left end than F must be 2nd from the right end but H is already there so that can’t be possible so E must be 4th from the left end and F must be at the right end.

E H F
28

Two persons are sitting between B and D. So B is either 2nd from the left end or 3rd from the left end. So we have two cases-

Case 1: If B is 2nd from the left end:

B E D H F
13 28

G is 3rd to the left of A. So G must be immediate left of E and A is immediate left of H, then C is at the left end.Two persons are sitting between the one who is 40 years old and the one who is 30 years old as both persons are elder to E so both are must be right of E. So either D or F is 30 years old or 40 years old.F is younger to D. So F is 30 years old and D is 40 years old.

We know that D’s age is twice of G so G must be 20 years old but we know that G’s age is an odd number so this case gets rejected.

C B G E D A H F
22 13 28 40 30

Case 2: If B is 3rdfrom the left end:

B E D H F
13 28

G is 3rd to the left of A. So G must be 2nd to the left of E and A is immediate left of D then C is at the left end.Two persons are sitting between the one who is 40 years old and the one who is 30 years old as both persons are elder to E so both are must be right of E. So either A or F is 30 years old or 40 years old.F is younger to D. So F cannot be the eldest so A is eldest and 40 years old and F is 30 years old.

C G B E A D H F
22 13 28 40 30

H is 6 years elder to F so H is 36 years old. D is younger to H but elder to E  and D’s age is twice of G’s age whom age is an odd number as D is elder to F and younger to H so D must be 34 years old and G must be 17 years old which is an odd number.

Here is the final arrangement:

C G B E A D H F
22 17 13 28 40 34 36 30

  1. Answer: B

Only A is elder to H.

Hence, option B.

F and C sit at the both ends.

Hence, option D.

  1. Answer: B

B is 3rd to the left of D.

Hence, option B.

  1. Answer: A

A is 40 years old and F is 30 years old so sum of the their ages is 70.

Hence, option A.

  1. Answer: C

H is 3rd to the right of E.

Hence, option C.

Direction (6-10)

B=1, C=2, D=3, F=4, G=5, H=6, J=7, K=8
L=1, M=2, N=3, P=4, Q=5, R=6, S=7, T=8
V=1, W=2, X=3, Y=4, Z=5

  1. B

From condition II,

Super=7U4E#

Hence, option B.

  1. A

From condition II,

Position=4O7I8IO#

Then from condition III,

4O7I8IO#=478#

Hence, option A.

  1. C

From condition I,

Onion=O3I%3

Hence, option C.

  1. C

From condition IV,

Space=74&2&

Hence, option C.

  1. E

From condition II,

Border=1O63E#

Hence, option E.
