1). Rehabilitation (Noun) पुनर्वास

Definition: the action of restoring something that has been damaged to its former condition

Synonyms: repair, overhaul, recovery, reclamation, improvement

Antonyms: injury, hurt, harm, damage

Usage: the rehabilitation of the mangrove forests

 

2). Fester (Verb) – बदतर या अधिक तीव्र हो जाना

Definition: become worse or more intense, especially through long-term neglect or indifference

Synonyms: rankle, chafe, ferment, brew, smoulder

Antonyms:

Usage: below the surface, the old antogonishms festered

 

3). Dent (Noun) खरोज

Definition: a slight hollow in a hard even surface made by a blow or pressure

Synonyms: indentation, dint, dimple, dip, depression, hollow, crater, pit, trough

Antonyms: increase, bulge

Usage: there was a hideous dent in the front passenger door

 

4). Envisage (Verb) परिकल्पना करना

Definition: contemplate or conceive of as a possibility or a desirable future event.

Definition: critical observation or examination

6). Glimmer (Verb) क्षीण प्रकाश होना

Definition: shine faintly with a wavering light

Synonyms: gleam, shine, glint, flicker, shimmer, glisten, glow, twinkle, sparkle, glitter

Antonyms: dullness

Usage: the moonlight glimmered on the lawn

 

7). Gambit (Adjective) योजना

Definition:  an act or remark that is calculated to gain an advantage, especially at the outset of a situation.

Synonyms:  stratagem, machination, scheme, plan, tactic, manoeuvre, move

Antonyms: frankness, honesty

Usage: his resignation was a tactical gambit

 

8). Decisive  (Adjective) निर्णयात्मक

Definition: settling an issue; producing a definite result

Synonyms: deciding, conclusive, determining, final, settling, key

Antonyms: insignificant, indefinite, trivial

Usage: the archers played a decisive part in the victory

 

9). Misery (Noun) – कष्ट या दुःख

Definition: a state or feeling of great physical or mental distress or discomfort.

Synonyms:unhappiness, distress, wretchedness, hardship, suffering, affliction, anguish, anxiety, angst, torment, torture

 Antonyms: contentment, pleasure

Usage: a man who had brought her nothing but misery

 

10). Appetite (Noun) भूख

Definition: a strong desire or liking for something

Synonyms:craving, longing, yearning, hankering, hunger, thirst, passion, relish, lust, love, zest, gusto, avidity, ardour

Antonyms: dislike, hate, lethargy, disinclination, indifference

Usage: her appetite for life
