1). Propped (Verb) — समर्थन या स्थिति में रखना

Definition: support or keep in position.

Synonyms: hold up, shore up, bolster up, buttress, support, brace, underpin, reinforce, strengthen

Antonyms: discourage, down, refuse, drop.

Usage: she propped her chin in the palm of her right hand

 

2). Lingering (Adjective) — स्थायी

Definition: lasting for a long time or slow to end.

Synonyms:  remaining, surviving, persisting, abiding, nagging, niggling, gnawing

Antonyms: short-lived

Usage: there are still some lingering doubts in my mind

 

3). Normalcy (Noun) — सामान्य स्थिति

Definition: the condition of being normal; the state of being usual, typical, or expected.

Synonyms:  a normal state of affairs, business as usual, the daily round, routine, a normal pattern, order

Antonyms: insanity

Usage: the office gradually returned to a semblance of normalcy

 

4). Congenial (Adjective) — अनुकूलनिय

Definition: (of a thing) pleasant or agreeable because suited to one’s taste or inclination.

Synonyms:  pleasant, pleasing, to one’s liking, agreeable, enjoyable,  pleasurable, nice, appealing, engaging

Antonyms: disagreeable, incompatible

Usage: he went back to a climate more congenial to his cold stony soul

 

5). Pursuit (Noun) —  गतिविधियों

Definition: an activity of a specified kind, especially a recreational or sporting one.

Synonyms: activity, leisure activity, leisure pursuit, leisure interest, hobby, pastime, diversion, avocation

Antonyms: retreat, surrender.

Usage: a whole range of leisure pursuits

 

6). Fructify (Verb) — फलवान होना

Definition: make (something) fruitful or productive.

Synonyms: benefit, favour, useful, gain.

Antonyms: loss, useless, waste.

Usage: they were sacrificed in order that their blood might fructify the crops

 

7). Seamless (Adjective) — निर्बाध

Definition: smooth and continuous, with no apparent gaps or spaces between one part and the next.

Synonyms:  logical, smooth, coherent, order.

Antonyms: rough, uneven, faulty.

Usage: the seamless integration of footage from different sources

 

8). Embarking (Verb) — पोतारोहण करना

Definition: begin (a course of action).

Synonyms: begin, start, commence, undertake, set about, enter on, go into, take up

Antonyms: disembark, land

Usage: she embarked on a new career

 

9). Slew (Verb) — अनियंत्रित रूप से घूमना

Definition: Turn or slide violently or uncontrollably.

Synonyms: kill, murder, put to the sword.

Antonyms: peace, calm.

Usage: The Renault slewed from slide to slide in the snow.

 

10). Decelerated (Verb) — धीमा करना

Definition: reduce or cause to reduce in speed

Synonyms:  slow, slow down, reduce

Antonyms: improve, accelerate.

Usage: the train began to decelerate.
