1). Convicts (Noun) – अपराधी

Definition: a person found guilty of a criminal offence and serving a sentence of imprisonment.

Synonyms:  prisoner, inmate; criminal, offender, lawbreaker, felon

Antonyms: acquit, clear

Usage: two escaped convicts kidnapped them at gunpoint

 

2). Assassination (Noun) – हत्या

Definition: the action of assassinating someone.

Synonyms:  murder, killing, political execution, slaughter, butchery, homicide,  liquidation, elimination, extermination

Antonyms: safe, protect, birth.

Usage: the assassination of President Kennedy

 

3). Ramifications (Noun) – असर या परिणाम

Definition: a complex or unwelcome consequence of an action or event.

Synonyms: consequence, result, aftermath, outcome, effect, upshot, issue

Antonyms:   cause, origin, source.

Usage: any change is bound to have legal ramifications

 

4). Incarceration (Noun) — क़ैद कर देना

Definition: the state of being confined in prison; imprisonment.

Synonyms:  imprisonment, internment, confinement, detention, custody, captivity

Antonyms: freedom, independent.

Usage: the public would not be served by her incarceration

 

5). Retrograde (Adjective) — पश्चगामी

Definition: directed or moving backwards.

Synonyms: backward, backwards, reverse, rearward, directed backwards

Antonyms:  ahead, forwards, onwards, onward, on, further

Usage: a retrograde flow

 

6). Acme (Noun) — परिपूर्णता

Definition: the point at which something is at its best or most highly developed.

Synonyms: optimum, top, height.

Antonyms: base, bottom.

Usage: physics is the acme of scientific knowledge

 

7). Eclectic (Adjective) – उदार

Definition: deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

Synonyms: wide-ranging, wide, broad, broad-ranging, broad-based, extensive, comprehensive, encyclopedic, genera

Antonyms: narrow, dogmatic

Usage: universities offering an eclectic mix of courses

 

8). Panache (Noun) — कलँगी

Definition: flamboyant confidence of style or manner.

Synonyms:  flamboyant confidence, flamboyance, confidence, self-assurance, style, stylishness, flair

Antonyms: spiritlessness

Usage: he entertained London society with great panache

 

9). Drowned (Verb) — डुबा हुआ

Definition: die through submersion in and inhalation of water.

Synonyms: suffocate in water, inhale water

Antonyms:  drain.

Usage: a motorist drowned when her car plunged off the edge of a quay

 

10). Microcosm (Noun) — सूक्ष्म जगत

Definition: humankind regarded as the representation in miniature of the universe.

Usage: the belief in correspondences between the Universe and Man—between microcosm and macrocosm
