UPSC Full Form – History of UPSC
The Royal Commission on Superior Civil Service, which had equal numbers of Indian and British members, was established in the year 1923 under the chairmanship of Lord Lee of Fareham. The first Public Service Commission was established on October 1st, 1926, with Sir Ross Barker serving as its chairman. It was a small advisory committee with little authority.
