Nationality / Citizenship

ESIC MTS Recruitment 2022 nationality / citizenship details are available here. A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Further in the case of a PWD by virtue of being an ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a ‘person with a disability or as an ESIC/Govt. Employee’ whichever may be more beneficial to him/her.
Ex-Servicemen	(i) UR- 3 years () (ii) OBC- 6 years () (iii) SC/ST- 8 years ()() after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age
ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application	(i) UR – upto 40 years (ii) OBC – upto 43 years (iii) SC/ST – up to 45 years Note – Applicant should continue to have the status of ESIC/ Govt. servant till the time of appointment, in the event of his/her selection.
Other categories of persons	In accordance with the instructions and orders of Govt. of India issued from time to time

ESIC MTS Exam Pattern 2022

Check here the exam patterns for the ESIC MTS recruitment 2021-2022. The Qualifying Marks in Phase-I (Preliminary Exam.), and Phase-III (Main Exam.) will be 45% for UR Category, 40% for OBC Category & EWS category, 35% for SC, ST & Ex. Servicemen category and 30% for PWD Category.

The ESIC MTS prelims exam pattern 2022 is here. Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature and marks will not be reckoned for final merit. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – I Preliminary Examination. The ESIC MTS syllabus 2021-2022 for the prelims exam consists of the following sections shown in the table.
