Directions (1-5): Study the following information carefully and answer the given question.

Eight persons are sitting in two parallel rows containing four persons each in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row 1- Ovi, Savi,Kavi and Adhi are seated and all of them are facing south. In row 2- Robin, Esai, Rebi and Kanna are seated and all of them are facing north. Each person in one row faces a person of another row. Each person from different cites viz., Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Goa and Patna, but not necessarily in the same order.

Kavi sits second to right of the person from Chennai. Rebi is an immediate neighbour of the person who faces the person from Chennai.Only one person sits between Rebi and the person from Kolkata. Immediate neighbour of the person from Kolkata faces the person from Hyderabad.The person from Bangalore faces the person from Goa. Rebi is not from Goa. Robin is not from Kolkata. Robin does not face the person form Chennai. Esai faces the person from Patna. The one who faces Kanna sits to the immediate left of Ovi.Savi does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line. The person from Chennai does not face the person from Delhi.

Directions (6-10): Study the following information carefully and answer the given question.

Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are sitting around the square table in such a way that four of them are sitting at the four corners of the table while remaining four persons are sitting at the middle of each of the four sides. The persons who sitting at the four corners faces the center of the table and the persons who sitting at the middle of the four sides faces opposite to the center of the table. Each of them likes a different fruit, viz., Orange, Apple, Mango, Banana, Guava, Lemon, Papaya and Watermelon.

          F sits third to the left of the one who likes Apple. The one who likes Apple faces outward of the table. Only two persons sit between F and A. The one who likes Orange sits to the immediate right of A. The one who likes Guava sits second to the right of B, who is neither an immediate neighbour of A nor an immediate neighbour of F. B does not like Apple. Only one person sits between H and the one who likes Guava. E sits immediate left of the one who likes Banana. B does not like Banana. D likes Mango but he is not an immediateneighbour of H. The one who likes Watermelon is an immediate neighbour of D. The one who likes Lemon is the immediate neighbour of C.

Directions (1-5):

  • From the statement Kavi sits second to right of the person from Chennai.
  • Rebi is an immediate neighbour of the person who faces the person from Chennai.

we have 3 Cases.

  • Only one person sits between Rebi and the person for Kolkata.
  • Immediate neighbourof the person from Kolkata faces the person from Hyderabad.
  • From these above two statement we cannot fix the position for the person who is from Kolkata So, Case 1 is dropped

  • The person from Bangalore faces the person from Goa
  • Rebi is not from Goa
  • Robin is not from Kolkata.
  • Robin does not face the person form Chennai.

  • Esai faces the person from Patna.
  • The one who faces Kanna sits to the immediate left of Ovi.
  • Savi does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line.
  • Condition not satisfied in Case 2, So Case 2 is dropped.
  • Case 3 Continued.
  • The person from Chennai does not face the person from Delhi.
  • So Robin is from Delhi and Kanna is from Mumbai.
  • So we get the final arrangement.

  • The one who likes Guava sits second to the right of B, who is neither an immediate neighbour of A nor an immediate neighbour of F.
  • B does not like Apple.
  • Only one person sits between H and the one who likes Guava.

  • E sits immediate left of the one who likes Banana.
  • B does not like Banana.
  • D likes Mango but he is not an immediate neighbour of H.
  • From this condition Case 1 was dropped.

  • The one who likes Watermelon is an immediate neighbour of D.
  • The one who likes Lemon is an immediate neighbour of C.
  • C is an immediate neighbour of both E and the one who likes Watermelon.
  • So we get the final arrangement.
