Answers :

1) Answer: C

Total number of students in MBA = 100/60 * 180 = 300

Total number of students in MBBS = 100/55 * 330 = 600

Required answer = 50/100 * (600 – 300) = 150

2) Answer: C

Total number of students in BBA = x

Total number of students in MSC = y

x * 30/100 + y * 40/100 = 370

3x + 4y = 3700 ——(1)

x * 70/100 + y * 60/100 = 730

7x + 6y = 7300 ——(2)

(2) * 2 – (1) * 3

14x – 9x = 3500

x = 700

6y = 7300 – 4900

y = 400

Difference = 700 – 400 = 300

3) Answer: B

Number of girls in BE = 100/80 * 360 = 450

Number of boys in BE = 50/50 * 450 = 450

Number of girls in MBA = 450

Number of boys in MBA = 40/60 * 450 = 300

Difference = 450 – 300 = 150

4) Answer: A

Required Difference = (55 – 45)/100 * 780 = 78

5) Answer: A

Number of girls in BSC = 900 * 45/100 = 405

Number of girls in BE = 1200 * 50/100 = 600

Required ratio = 600:405

= 40:27

Directions (6-10) :

6) Answer: A

= 105/2

= 52.5

Answers :

11) Answer: D

Number of product from A = 20 + 30 + 40 = 90

Number of product from B = 25 + 30 + 45 = 100

Number of product from C = 30 + 35 + 40 = 105

Number of product from D = 35 + 45 + 50 = 130

Number of product from E = 30 + 40 + 45 = 115

Number of product from F = 40 + 45 + 50 = 135

Required shops = D and F

12) Answer: B

From i,

Number of product from A = 20 + 30 + 40 =90

Number of product from C = 30 + 35 + 40 =105

Difference = 105 – 90 = 15

This statement is correct.

From ii,

Ratio = 35: 45 = 7: 9 ≠ 7: 8

This statement is not correct.

From iii,

Number of product from C = 30 + 35 + 40 = 105

Number of product from B = 25 + 30 + 45 = 100

This statement is correct.

13) Answer: B

Average pen = (20 + 25 + 30 + 35 + 30 + 40)/ 6 = 30

Average eraser = (40 + 45 + 40 + 50 + 45 + 50)/6 = 45

Difference = 45 – 30 = 15

14) Answer: C

Required percentage = [(40 + 45 + 50)/(30 + 30 + 35 + 45 + 40 + 45)] * 100

= 60%

15) Answer: C

Required ratio = 30: 40 = 3: 4

16) Answer: A

May = 25 + 20 + 15 = 60 tonnes

June = 10 + 30 + 25 = 65 tonnes

Difference = 65 – 60 = 5 tonnes

17) Answer: D

Required percentage = [25/(10 + 15 + 20 + 30 + 25)] * 100

= 25%

18) Answer: C

Required Average = (30 + 35 + 25 + 10 + 15)/5

= 23

19) Answer: D

Rice = 140/100 * 15 = 21 tonnes

Wheat = 120/100 * 25 = 30 tonnes

Maize = 150/100 * 30 = 45 tonnes

Total = 21 + 30 + 45 = 96 tonnes

20) Answer: C

Wheat average = (10 + 15 + 20 + 30 + 25)/5

= 20 tonnes

Maize average = (20 + 10 + 15 + 25 + 30)/5
