There are three towns P, Q and R. Certain numbers of offices are established in these towns under scheme A, scheme B and scheme C in 2019.

Scheme A: The number of offices in town P is ¾ of the number of offices in town Q under scheme B. The number of offices in town R is 19/24 of the number of offices in town R under scheme C. The total number of offices in town P and town R is equal under scheme A. The total number of offices under scheme A is 1355.

Scheme B: The total number of office under scheme B is 930. The number of offices in town Q is 170 less than that of number of offices in town P and R together. The number of offices in town P is 2/3 of the number of offices in town P under scheme C.

Scheme C: The number of offices under scheme C is 29/31 of the number of offices under scheme B. The number of office in town R under scheme C is 10 more than under scheme B.

Total number of offices under scheme A = 1355 — (iv)

Scheme B =>

Total number of office under scheme B = 930

No. of offices in town Q = No. of offices in town P and R together – 170

No. of offices in town P and R together = n

=> n + (n – 170) = 930

=> n = 550 = No. of offices in town P and R together

Hence the No. of offices in town Q under scheme B = 550 – 170 = 380

From (i), No. of offices in town P under scheme A = ¾ * 380 = 285

From (iii), Total no. of offices in town R under scheme A = 285

From (iv), No. of offices in town Q under scheme A = 1355 – 285 – 285 = 785

Scheme C =>

No. of offices under scheme C = 29/31 * No. of offices under scheme B.

=>No. of offices under scheme C = 29/31 * 930 = 870

No. of office in town R under scheme C = 10 + No. of office in town R under scheme B.

Hence, No. of office in town R under scheme B = 360 – 10 = 350

No. of offices in town P under scheme B = 930 – 380 – 350 = 200

From (v), No. of offices in town P under scheme C = 3/2 * 200 = 300

No. of offices in town Q under scheme C = 870 – 300 – 360 = 210 Offices in town Q under scheme B = 150/100 * 380 = 570

Offices in town R under scheme C = 25/100 * 360 = 90

Total number of offices in 2020 for town Q under scheme B and offices for town R under scheme C = 570 + 90 = 660

= 120/100 * 285 = 342
