Tips to Attempt English Section Wisely in SBI PO Prelims 2019 (Day-1)

SBI PO preliminary examination is around the corner and students must have started their preparation immediately after the release of its notification. This year there are a few changes introduced in mains examination but there is no major change in prelims. Students get aghast when it comes to English section but the new change in pattern as the introduction of sectional timing gives a huge relief.

There are some important topics to be covered in English section:

  • Reading comprehension
  • Cloze test
  • Error spotting
  • Sentence rearrangement
  • Fill in the blanks
  • Sentence correction
  • Phrase replacement

Aspirants will have 20 minutes to solve the 30 questions of English section. This section is considered a tough section when we talk about the SBI Exams. One must attempt those questions in which they are sure about and making random guesses will not help you in this section. Avoid guessing answers and attempt questions with utmost accuracy.

Tips to attempt the English section:

  • Fortify your basics and attend mock tests on daily basis. Analyze the complete question paper before answering a question. Prioritize the questions which you have to attempt and which one to skip.
  • Stumbling upon a single question will consume a lot of time, so be heedful while selecting a question which you decide to attend.
  • Analyze the strong and weak areas and work on them accordingly, hone your weak area to ace the competition.
  • Taking a small step every day is better than staying where you are. So, attempt daily quizzes and mock tests to increase your score.
