Irrfan Khan, Bollywood icon, dies at his age of 53

Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan is a famous Indian actor. He is popularly known as Irfan Khan. Due to the colon infection he has passed away on 29th of April 2020. His death has stunned the Indian cine Industry.

He was born on 7th January of 1967, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He was inspired by the works of actors Actors Naseeruddin Shah and Rajesh Vivek. So he also wished to join the Indian cine field. So he joined the National School of Drama (New Delhi), in 1984, to study and learn acting. In the course, he also passed the exam in 1st attempt and won the scholarship.

Soon after his graduation, he made his acting debut in the movie, Salaam Bombay, in 1987. There on he struggled to emerge as a star. He also acted in some television serials. Then he acted in some notable films such as Maqbool, Warrior, Rog, etc. Rog is his first Bollywood film as a lead actor.

After a series of hard work, he made a breakthrough in 2004 by acting in the film, Haasil. For this film, he earned the Filmfare award for best villain. Then his films like Namesake and Life in a metro became box office hits. Slowly he emerged as a star actor in Indian cinema. He also sported in famous Hollywood films such as Amazing Spiderman, Jurassic world, etc. He won Padma shri award in 2011. Also in 2013 he won the National film award for best actor – Paan Singh Tomar. For the same film he got the Filmfare award for best actor (critics). Again in 2018 he won another Filmfare award for best actor for the film Hindi medium (2018). He also have won many notable awards such as – Asian film award, International Indian film academy award, Dubai International film festival award, etc. Now his demise has made Indian cine field sad. Through his achievements, Irfan Khan will be notable for years in Indian Cine History.

Rishi Kapoor, Evergreen Heartthrob, Dies At 67

Rishi Kapoor, the Indian film actor, director, and producer is the son of popular actor Raj Kapoor. Due to cancer, he passed away on 30th of April 2020. His death news has shook the Indian cine Industry.

He was born on 4th September of 1952, in Chembur, Maharashtra. In his childhood itself he started his achievement in cine industry. For the film, Mera Naam Joker, directed by his father, Rishi Kapoor won the Filmfare award for the child artist.

Then he made his debut lead role in the film Bobby. For this film he won the Filmfare award for best actor in 1974. There on he acted in many award winning film and became popular in the Bollywood industry. Till 2000, he acted around 92 films in the lead role. After 2000, he moved to the supporting roles. In the 2008 he won the Filmfare lifetime achievement award. In 2009 he was honoured by the Russian government for his contribution to cinema.

Still he won many award after moving to the supporting role. In 2011 he won the Filmfare critics award for best actor for the film Do Dooni Chaar (2011). Again he won the Filmfare award for best supporting actor for the film, Kapoor and sons (2017). The other notable awards he won were Zee cine award, Screen lifetime achievement award, the Times of India Film award Bengal film journalists’ association award, etc. His sudden demise was shocked the Indian film industry. Many film celebrities such as Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Priyanka Chopra, etc. have paid their tributes in the social media. The death of Rishi Kapoor is truly an end of era in Indian Cinema.
